Since the year 2000, over 300 children under 5 have drowned in Australia. This section of the DVD gives a brief overview of the topics that will be covered throughout the Kids Alive Living with Water DVD.

Newborn Stage   [Right click to Download - 49MB]
During this section of the DVD parents and caregivers will be shown how to, familiarise their baby with the water, establish breath control on command and interact comfortably with their baby in the water. Parents and caregivers will also be introduced to water safety around the home.

Crawler Stage   [Right click to Download - 69MB]
During this section of the DVD parents and caregivers will be given information on potential water hazards as their child grows and how to secure them, tips on supervising their child in and around water and tips on formal learn to swim lessons. Parents and caregivers will also hear from other parents who are currently teaching their child to swim.

Toddler Stage   [Right click to Download - 69MB]
During this section of the DVD, parents and caregivers will be given information on how to actively supervise the inquisitive toddler, tips for a successful introduction to water, and pool fencing information. Parents and caregivers will also see an interview from Dr Robert Pitt.

Preschool Stage   [Right click to Download - 59MB]
During this section of the DVD, parents are caregivers will be given information on setting ground rules with their child around water, tips on supervising multiple children around water and learn to swim basics. Parents will also hear Australian iron women from Karla Gilbert.

Choosing a swim school [Right click to Download- 40MB]
During this section of the DVD, parents are caregivers will be given information on choosing a swim school. Importantly parents will be given a checklist for choosing a swim school and educated on the learn to swim progression.

CPR Demonstration   [Right click to Download - 22MB]
During this section of the DVD parents and caregivers will be given a demonstration by St John Ambulance on how to perform CPR in case of an emergency. While this is not a substitute for training it shows how easy performing CPR can be.

Real Life Stories   [Right click to Download - 49MB]
During this section of the DVD parents and caregivers will hear from 3 parents who have lost a child through drowning. It is through these experiences other people caring for children can learn a vital lesson and save lives. Please be warned that this content may upset the viewer.

Rural Safety   [Right click to Download - 30MB]
During this section of the DVD parents and caregivers will hear from Farmsafe Australia. Parents will be given tips on important rural water safety information.              

Kids Alive Songs   [Right click to Download - 37MB]
This section of the DVD is designed for parents to play to their kids. Here your kids can sing and dance along to fun and educational water safety songs.
