For the third year in a row, Kids Alive is lending its support to April Pools Day.
Held throughout April 2018, the goal of the April Pools Day campaign is to encourage Australians to get serious about learning CPR. This year, our partner Poolwerx has teamed with Australian Red Cross to offer free online CPR courses that could help you save a life.
Almost half of drownings in children under the age of four occur in swimming pools. That’s why it is absolutely vital parents have this skill, as a child is four times more likely to survive if given CPR.
April Pools Day aims to make it easy for people to update their CPR skills by giving them a refresher course on the basic skills for resuscitating babies, young children and adults and the course can be done online, in the comfort of your own home.
People wishing to complete the free online CPR course can visit any Poolwerx store throughout Australia from April 3 and they will be provided with a code word they can use to redeem a voucher for the free course. Spaces are limited so you will need to get in quick.
