Barossa Park YMCA wellness centre
On Monday the 25th of January water safety advocate Laurie Lawrence visited the Barossa Park YMCA wellness centre.
The brand new facility has only been opened for 2 weeks and locals are already enjoying recreation and fitness opportunities.
The centre includes a 25 metre lap pool and a specifically designed programs pool for learn to swim with fantastic accessibility for people with a disability.
The management team and retirees from the One Care residence were able to smile for photos with the Kids Alive costume character Lifesaver Lil.
A few lucky kids were also able to participate in a lesson with Laurie as he demonstrated the swimming skills of his granddaughters Evie 6 and Harper 3.
The centre is due to commence swimming lessons in February 2016 and will kick off with an open day to raise swimming and water safety awareness with the local community.
