Celebrate Children’s Rights Week with Kids Alive

October 20, 2025 | KIDS ALIVE

This week, October 18 - 26, 2025, Kids Alive proudly supports Children’s Rights Week a national celebration of the rights every child has to be safe, heard, and valued.

Children’s Rights Week is based on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) an international agreement that recognises that every child, everywhere, has the right to grow up healthy, happy, and supported.

2025 Theme: Everyone Should Know About Children’s Rights

This year’s theme is about reminding us that understanding children’s rights isn’t just for kids it’s for parents, teachers, swim schools, and communities too.

By learning about their rights, children gain confidence, build trust, and learn to speak up when something doesn’t feel right. And when adults understand those rights, they can help children feel safe and respected in every environment from home to the pool.

Here are some simple ways you can show your support:

  • Start a conversation: Talk with children in your family or that you work with about fairness, kindness, and safety.
  • Lead by example: Model respect, inclusion, and listening in your everyday interactions.

Together, we can make sure every child in Australia knows their rights and feels safe to use their voice.
