Australia Day long weekend is one of the highest-risk periods for drowning in Australia. Families are at beaches, rivers, pools, campsites and backyard BBQs — and supervision often slips.
A study by University of New South Wales found that drowning rates on public holidays are more than four times higher than regular weekdays — and that public holidays account for about 11% of all drowning cases.
Our water safety song “Super Eyes” teaches children about the importance of supervision around the water, but the real message is for adults:

👉 Supervise near water. Watch your mate
We’d love your help to spread the word about how vital supervision is and we are giving away Super Eyes supervision gear to the first 40 people that submit their details. You will receive the special Super Eyes hat and sunglasses and the Kids Alive Water Safety books. Fill in this form with your details and we will send you a pack with instructions for helping to spread the word!
