Learn to Swim Week 2015
After the success of Learn to Swim Week 2014, we’re excited to be able to invite you to get involved in Learn to Swim Week 2015!
100 swim schools participated last year giving away 5000 lessons to the public. It’s a fantastic opportunity for swim schools to gain publicity and build client numbers prior to the start of summer. We are working towards a goal of zero drownings and learning to swim is a key preventative measure we need to share with the community.
This year applications open early to give everyone time to maximise the opportunity. The goal is for 300+ schools to participate this year.
What is Learn to Swim Week 2015?
Learn to Swim Week is an awareness week aimed at educating Australians on the importance of teaching kids aged under five to swim and reminding everyone about water safety. The awareness week will be kick-started by Learn to Swim Day on Monday, 28th September.
Learn to Swim Week is an initiative of national pool and spa care network Poolwerx and supported by water safety program Kids Alive.
Why get involved?
You’ll be exposing your swim school to hundreds of potential new clients ahead of the peak swimming season. Your swim school will also be listed on the official Learn to Swim Week website, which will be supported by a local and national marketing and public relations program.
In response to feedback after last year’s campaign, we are also pleased to report that the following changes will be made to how we approach Learn to Swim Week 2015.
- Swim schools will have marketing material available to help promote participation.
- The lead time for registrations for schools and parents has been extended significantly this year.
- A new user friendly website, making participation even easier.
- There will be a large amount of media attention prior to and after Learn to Swim Week 2015, ensuring maximum exposure for swim schools, and maximum participation by the community.
How can your swim school get involved?
To save your spot, simply log on to http://www.learntoswimweek.com.au/register-your-pool/ fill in the form and once the details are approved you will be sent a login to access the marketing support material. It’s that simple!
Keeping it simple
Once your registration is approved the site will list your details and nominated free lessons. The public will then be able to select their desired swim class and complete relevant details about the participating child/children. You will then be sent an automatic e-mail with their details (child’s age, ability etc.) in order to contact them and confirm a class.
Let’s rally together to teach our kids to swim! I hope you can join us on this campaign.
REGISTRATIONS CLOSE AUGUST 3 2015
