Watch Your Mate Medal – Wear it with Pride and Supervise!

With many Aussies having parties, long weekends or going away this public holiday, we are asking our supporters to help us promote a vital message about supervision to help keep our kids safe around water – Watch Your Mate!

Many Australians will be planning to have a pool party or attending one this weekend, or they will head to the beach with family and friends. No matter the event, if it involves a body of water one of the best ways to keep children safe is to nominate an adult to supervise the children (and adults) who are swimming.

Kids can get themselves into trouble very quickly in pools and with so much going on at parties, it’s not good enough to just expect that someone will be keeping an eye on swimmers – you need to have formally nominated a supervising adult.

We have created the Watch Your Mate Medal – Wear it with Pride and Supervise. A medal template can be downloaded from www.kidsalive.com.au and coloured in before being given to the supervising adult (or there is a ready-made design that can be printed out.)
